Hi guys, its very good seing lenovo got such a community.
so i bought the ideapad 320-15ikb model 81bg.
the specs got only 1TB hdd and i wonder if ill be able to upgrade it with SSD?
i cant find the HW Spec's anywhere, like how many SATA or RAM slots or M2.... nowhere to find these specs.
so my questions are:
will i be able to upgrade ideapad 320-15ikb model 81bg with SSD?
could I add an SSD or only Replace the HDD with SSD?
how many RAM slots?
I feel This Laptop is a BEaST! _ (But it really really ..... really, FEELS like the HDD is bottlenecking the Preformance).

Welcome to the Community Forums.
In general, specifications (ram and storage available depends on the variants):
Some: SSD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high
Some: HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high
Some: M.2 SSD / PCIe 3.0, 8Gb/s (320-15IKB only)
16GB max / 2133MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, optional
4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket
Here also is the hardware manual to get you information how to do changes on parts and specification of your machine. 81bg model are offered with m.2 SSD PCIe ssd option aside from the current 1TB HDD. Yours may have a a built in 4GB slot with one slot available with an upgradable 4GB ram to and 8GB memory stick.
I hope this helps answer your query
Update us with the MTM so we can check on the machine's details if needed.

You machine 81BG006BIV showsL systemboard PN PN 5B20P99246 MBL81BJI58250UV2GD4GNOK. Psref must be outdated (Aug2017) compared to your I5-8250U processor. It shows the 4GB ram on board with one slot available for upgrade of your current 4GB DDR4 2400. Max is 16 GB so option for replacing it with 8GB ram for total of 12GB is possible.
With regards to the m.2 slot for a PCIe SSD and checking on the battery size and location doubts me that it added to the board although there are select models of 320-IKB that have. You may however upgrade the current 1TB HDD with a SATA SSD instead.

Sorry, I'm going to hijack the thread a bit.
My MMT is 81BG00MRPB; MO PF9XB7C23141
When I opened my laptop up, there is an empty slot similar to wifi slot, but the card doesn't fit (just above the hdd in the photo). The slot is 22mm which would correspond to M.2 specs. Is that in fact an M.2 slot? (see photos)
