lenovo ideapad 100s 14ibr - bios hdd not detected

Lenovo ideapad 100s 14ibr -

The laptop keeps restarting and doesn't go past the black screen with the Lenovo logo on it.

I have checked the bios, reset it to default and also seen that 'hdd is not detected'.

The problem is that this laptop has embedded hdd how can I fix this problem?

Any tips!!??

Re: lenovo ideapad 100s 14ibr - bios hdd not detected

Hello 100sLenovo

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Unfortunately by the sounds of things, it will be a failed Hard Drive if it is not detected, this would also explain not being able to boot up.

Try to reach the recovery menu, see if the Novo button is able to get you in there, if so, you may want to try the recovery options, make sure you have your files backed up.

If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service as this will indicate a hardware fault. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
