ok i'm done, every time i try to install something or extract a rar file, i can't do anything else but waiting, i literally can't do anything cause my laptop's performence kinda die!! i mean is this how it works?? or there's something wrong with my ideapad? i payed for a medium level laptop with a core i5 cpu, is this normal that my laptop gets so slow when i'm installing something or extracting a rar file? and when i say "slow" i mean really slow!! i mean i can't even open my file explorer! it takes like 5 seconds to react! and i have to wait like 20 seconds for my google chrome to gets open! and i know it's not how it has to work, because when i'm installing the same thing on my 10year old computer (with a very low CPU/GPU/Memory/RAM compare to my ideapad) it's not like that at all! i can do whatever i want without delay! so what should i do? here is some information about my laptop

RAM: 8GB DDR4

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Is this out of the box?
Or have you had the unit for a while?
Has there been any recent updates on the unit, this could possibly cause this to happen.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

How do I know if my static discharge was successful?
I followed the steps but didn't find any difference in my performance and was not sure if the discharge was successful.I have had the laptop for a while now but have faced the issue since the very beginning. All the symptoms are the same as the question. It takes forever to load the system and an eternity to open the file explorer.
