Thanks for the tutorial. My upgrade proceeds normally. I upload the upgrade file, then click on apply.

After about 20 seconds I get the message "Unable to decompress the update file. There may not be enough space".

I'm not sure what space they are talking about. Have over 300 GB free on my computer hard drive and 500 GB free on the Network Drive.

Any suggestions?

Yep. That's it. Model #31998600 with 1.5 TB capacity.

Per the Lenovo instructions, with my existing firmware version I had to update to a later version 3 first, then repeat to update to 4.0.6.19294. First update when exactly as described. I get the error when doing the second update.

Since last message I have followed Lenovo's instruction to reset the unit, thinking that the first upgrade may have left some config or other files sitting in whatever memory is segregated for the firmware (either on a hidden sector of the hard drive or in chip memory on the drive board iteself). Rebooted both the drive and my computer and tried again. Same problem.
