SFP+ card in IomegaPX12-400R

2019-06-03, 2:58 AM

I read in a post in this forum that the Intel X520-DA2 10GbE Net Adpt SFP + network card would work on the Iomega PX12-400R storage. Can anyone confirm it or tell me which SFP + port card works in this storage?

Hello Marcelovvm,

As far as I can find there is not an officially supported Optic Card for this system. So getting this to work unfortunatley would be trial and error.

I think the post you are referring to where another customer has stated that they used this option and working for them was.

One thing to note is that the px12 400 Series devices include four 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports. This allows you to connect to more than one network or to set up bonded NICs. I know this does not give you and FC option but would allow you to connect this via your ethernet network in a redunant way.
