ix2-dl Securemind Surveillence Manager does not start, shows message Authentication failure

After installing the Securemind app, i can't get it to start up. I get a window with an Authentication failure.

 

Tried a couple browsers, VLC and Flash are installed per the guide.

 

Is there a configuration panel somewhere I need to complete to get the app working?

Gus_ : I'm having the same issue discribed here.  I've looked at your recommendations but I'm not see a fix the problem.  If I'm misunderstanding here let me know.  I have ix2 running firmware 4.1212.33882 and securemind 2.1.15T which all are up to date.  So what's my next step?

The article wasn't really a suggestion, it just pointed out that SecureMind is no longer supported after version 4.1.202.33573.

Can the firmware be rolled back to the previous version which supports the security app?

All,

There isn't an officially supported replacement, but you could check someplace like NAS Central ( http://www.nas-central.org/wiki/Main_Page ) to see if other users have found a replacement.
