Hi lehwen,

 

the time range for this issue resolution was from 1st to 3rd of June, if your frame was set up during this time, you saw the frame as disconnected in your phone app. Please confirm if your frame was disconnected during this time.

If this happened outside of this time range, please kindly provide us with the frame SN in private message and send a log to us.

Ive been trying to set up my Smart Frame for 5 hours. All it does is say WIFI connected, and the app will just say device registration failed. Why is this not working? And most importantly why is there no tech support? The only option is to return it for a hardware review, its not the hardware, its something wrong with the app. Can one of the Lenovo regulators answer me?

I am having the same issue.  This unit is straight out of the box and all I get is registration failed.  I switched off my 5Ghz network to ensure that wasn't the problem.  I've tried it on an android phone as well as an iphone and it still happens.  I've tried to turn off my internet security and that didn't help.  It's clear to me this is an issue with the app or with the backend of the app.  Very frustrating that I bought this and can't even see a single image on it beyond the setup menu.

Hey Lenovo. This error is clearly happening again as we're all reporting the same error over the last 2 or 3 days. Can we get an update?

I wouldn’t recommend anybody keep trying to enter their information in this “app” it’s clear there is a problem, and who knows if there’s some kind of security breach and our information is being accessed.

 

really disappointed in Lenovo selling a product where the app is essential and the app has issues. Was going to see how this smart frame goes and then was going to buy a couple more for my family, but seeing how this is going. Probably not. Probably will return it soon if we get no help.

Chatting with them on Twitter and it seems like an issue they don’t have a direct fix for. They are having me go through all the reset device, re-install app procedures again, which I’ve done four times at this point.

Same thing happened to me. Nothing from the Twitter support helped. They can’t fix it. 

they are a multi-million dollar company. They need to contact the people who they hired to make the app, or if the app was made in house need to go to their developers, and tell them to fix the thing.

 

app looks totally cheap too, probably cut corners with it.

Mine stopped working randomly just a day or two ago. The app wouldn’t detect the frame even though the frame was still loading photos from my linked Google photos account. I tried the device reset and now I can’t even see the photos on the frame anymore since it’s at the init setup screen. Definitely seems like something wrong with the app.
