I just tried again this morning and the app is functional again. It definitely seemed to be related to a Lenovo server issue over the weekend. Can the app please be updated so we can update the frame content w/o needing to access Lenovo's servers?

Agreed, this happens before when I bought last year, I'll wait for Lenovo to fix from their side.

Getting network failed error as of 9/14/21. App was fixed for 24 hours than broken again. Lenovo fix your backend servers or just let the frame go directly to Google Photos you doofuses.

Agree!  I've had it for 2 days and have had the Device Registration thing happen 2 times that I can't get past.  Once the frame and the phone disconnect, you can't get them to talk again no matter what you do! (Factory Reset, uninstall, reinstall do not work!)  It's like the stars have to align over night then it works again.  At least that's what I'm hoping.  I may just look at the net-gear one even though its more expensive.  This one is very problematic.  The picture is 1st rate, the software is horrible.  I would expect much better from Lenovo.

Don’t get the net gear one lol.

 

I had it and it’s okay, but I think the button placement was horrible and the screen isn’t as nice as the Lenovo. 

Im starting to think this whole digital frame thing is a cash grab for a certain section of consumers. It can’t be this hard to make sure software is right (in terms of Lenovo) and hardware is right (in terms of net gear)

 

might need a couple more years or several before this type of product is polished.

Agree.  This is not new technology that's broke.  It's the phone App or Server software.  This should not be hard to fix!  I mean Lenovo has their version of the Google Smart Hub and it works just fine, I have two of them.  For this much money it should work! 

 

Now, how do I contact support?  They seem non-existent.  No phone number that I can find.

You have to search the Twitter handle lenovo support. Send them a DM through Twitter. That’s how you get to them

Lenovo Twitter support won't help. They will just have you reset the devices and run you through basic troubleshooting. I had a very lengthy chat with them. Sounds like they aren't in communication with the dev team(s).
