The app is so buggy. This morning I couldn't log into the app no matter how many accounts I set up with Lenovo. This afternoon it finally logged in. I was able to find the device, connect to WiFi but it won't complete the registration of the frame and keep getting the message "device registration failed. Please try again". What is the problem Lenovo? It's obvious on this forum that I'm not the only one with these issues. What's the point of creating theses products if you don't have the software to run it? It's essentially useless crap that has now made holes in my wall.  I will be returning this back to the shop in the next few days if this isn't fixed.

Support for any of their products is horrible. Keep trying on the frame. I ha w two and love them. They work 98% of the time and make sure you’re on a 2.4ghz only network.

I'm having this same issue. 

 

I've powered off the device and back on, reset it, tried to re-add it to the device and got "Device Registration Failed", cleared the app cache, and then cleared app data.

 

None of these steps resolved the issue.

 

It's ridiculous that this device is so dependent on the app, or this "registration", that it can stop working out of nowhere. 

 

And why isn't there any information on contact support beyond the forum? When will this be resolved?

I rang Lenovo technical support today and the guy I spoke to have no idea giving me the generic response of "I think there is an app downtime." Obviously I wasn't happy with this response and insisted this gets escalated to the correct team that can provide some answers. If, and it's a big IF, I get a response, I'll post it up here...

Not working here either.

The reliance this product has on the Lenovo cloud service is terrible.

 

This product should only have 2 connections ;

 

1) A bluetooth or wifi link to your phone for setup

 

2) A link to google photos.

 

There is no need for lenovos own server to be used - this is a horribly designed product. I bought 2 and I'll be getting rid of both of them asap.

 

Terrible engineering and programming.

I reconnected my frame just now and it's working. The + and - signs also now do something related to volume, and I don't know if that was a thing before it went crazy over the weekend.

 

I was having the "Device Registration Failed" issue.

Unfortunately the displays are dependent on their servers being up and running. Their app should tell you when there’s a service outage to people understand why their displays are not working.
