Setup Configurations- Lenovo Smart Plug & Bulb FAQs

Welcome to the Setup configration FAQ for Lenovo Smart Plug & Bulb. Hopefully this guide can help you to solve any problems you are experiencing.

  • Make sure WiFi hub works fine and can connect with internet.
  • Download Lenovo Link APP in Google market or Apple Store and install it in mobile phone.
  • Connect device with power line.
  • Open Bluetooth and location function in mobile phone.
  • Run Lenovo Link to connect the device step by step.

How to setup the Lenovo Smart bulb with the Lenovo Link App?

  1. The bulb will flash white if it’s ready for setup.
    Make sure your bulb is slowly flashing white before you try to set it up. If the Bulb is shining a solid white light, then reset the bulb first. To reset the bulb, turn it on and off 5 times. One sequence of on/off counts as one time. Do this 5 times. After the bulb has been reset, and is slowly flashing white, you can set it up.
  2. Use “Add device” to add the bulb.

  3. Make sure WiFi on your phone is turned on (Only 2.4ghz WiFi is supported), and location services is turned on as well. Additionally, turn off the data connection on your phone before setting up devices.

  4. Press “White Light On” button

  5. Tap to select the same 2.4ghz network that your phone is connected to. Make sure you enter the password.

  6. The connecting progress tracker will start to increase, the bulb will flash quickly after the setup gets beyond 80% progress. When it’s successfully connected, the color will change to a solid warm color and show connected status in on the screen.

How to setup plug with Lenovo Link App?

  1. The plug will flash blue around the On/Off button while it’s ready for setup.
    Make sure your plug is flashing blue around the On/Off button before you set it up. If the plug is not flashing blue, then reset the device. To reset the Plug, Press in the On/Off switch on the side and hold for 5 seconds
  2. Use “Add device” to add the plug.
  3. Make sure WiFi on your phone is turned on (Only 2.4ghz WiFi is supported), and location services is turned on as well. Additionally, turn off the data connection on your phone before setting up devices.
  4. Press "Blue Blinking" button
  5. tap to select the same 2.4ghz WiFi network that your phone is connected to. Make sure you enter the password.
  6. The connecting progress tracker will start to increase,, When it’s successfully connected, the color will change to solid red around the On/Off button, and will show connected status on the screen.

No, this may cause a setup connection failure.

I'm trying to add the bulb to Google Home. It keeps hanging on the " accounts now linked" screen.

 

Update;

Fixed I had to open the link in the Browser, not where the app opened it.
