Re: Unveiled: The Miix 320 detachable tablet

Please tell me you are using the x5 8550 in this machine and not the 8350 as i heard. they have the same wattage and close of not the same price so i cant see why in 2017 you would use the slower CPU.

it would be a shame to fix everything you did wrong in the 310 and leave the performance alone. I would not mind paying $20 extra for the 8550 CPU. using the 8350 puts this machine one notch below excellent for the price.

is the emmc drive the exact same performance as the 310 or were you able to enhance it further?

Re: Unveiled: The Miix 320 detachable tablet

What lenovo can do is release a Miix 335 or 340.

increase the screen to 10.6 inches.

change the cpu to the x5 8550 or x7 8750.

keep everything else the same and charge $349 for it.

I'd be first in line to get one.

Re: Unveiled: The Miix 320 detachable tablet

Hi jack860,

unfortunately I didn´t hit the Windows + Break button on the Miix320. So I cannot say which CPU was onboard.

But here are the pics and specs I found at #MWC17

Re: Unveiled: The Miix 320 detachable tablet

Thanks for the further information.

So the LTE will also not be avialable in the US?

why keep stabbing themselves in the foot? lol

The Miix 320 is good to compete with the chromebooks or low budget market.

Here is what I and a some other people would like for midrange. For which there are no alternatives currently. The Miix 520 is too big/heavy.

Ideapad Miix 420 Smiley Happy

10.6- 10.8 inch screen - similar or exactly like Surface 3

Core m3/m5 or Atom X7 8550 CPU with an actual heatsink to avoid throttling

128GB storage emmc or m.2 SATA preferably

4GB RAM

USB3 type A

HDMI

USB C charging or regular adaptor like Miix 320 if you use the Atom chip

unlocked LTE

MicroSD

600-700 grams

Re: Unveiled: The Miix 320 detachable tablet

I made some mistakes in the Miix 420 specs

Ideapad Miix 420 Smiley Happy

10.8 inch screen - similar or exactly like Surface 3 (since that screen is already made you don't have to design it yourself)

Core m3/m5 with actual copper heatsink/heat spreader like Surface Pro 4 m3 edition to avoid CPU throttling

128GB storage m.2 SATA (upgradable like Miix 700)

4GB RAM

USB 3.1 Gen2 type A (10Gbps)

USB 2.0 type A

HDMI

unlocked worldwide LTE

MicroSD

Front camera with LED for video/MS Hello

Kick stand

Pen and Keyboard included

600-700 grams

Yes; I left out USB C on purpose.
