Hi seems that all Lenovo has this problem and i would put my money on the G550 having it too.

Is there a how to i can save for after warrenty expires so i can mod mine out too as Linux Support for Intel wifi cards is not that stable. Would perfer to use my trusty BCM9432MC card i had in my old Asus laptop.

Also isn't this White List breaking rules in the EU like because its restricting customers to use Lenovo parts rather then other parts which really questions is the CRU really any good.

They are more than one company that does the whitelisting in bios.

It takes only 5 minutes to make the patch you want. If you are interested, then write me (middleton@list.ru).

Check that nice inbox of yours bud. If possible could you make some instructions and what tools you used just incase a bios update that is needed comes out and it needs doing again.

Thanks!

Any chance you can help me remove the whitelist from my Z565 BIOS? I have an old Intel 5100 card I'd like to use, and don't' want to pay for the "Lenovo approved part"

Thanks...

Is there a way I can extract my current BIOS from my laptop to provide to you?  It's using an Insyde BIOS.

To all:

There's a special thread about whitelist problem: Remove whitelist check / add ID's to break hardware restrictions mod requests.
Please leave your request there instead of emailing me.
