Actuallay its another brand new Y560. But still the approval has not yet given for the new Y560.since the engineering has diagonise the problem and then if it exist,he would then approve for the new Y560 replacement.actually the service asked me if i need a part replacement i mean for the motherboard as well as the ram.but since the problem existed at the initial stage the day i bought,so i opted to go for new Y560. If there is problem only in ram,then i would have gone for part replacement but the problem is with the motherboard too.so i asked for another new one. So the service man prepared a report saying 'blue screen error due to ram problem and not shutting down due to motherboard problem-DOA'. I asked the service man itself if there is a possiblity of cash back,he replied negative. I don't know if the nw one after approval cmes without or with problem?So what do u think shall i go for part replcement or the new one? Please suggest me.

  1. Money back
  2. Another model
  3. Another Y560
  4. Parts replace

anecdotal, but the y460 sounds like its got A LOT LESS ISSUES than y560. You give up a bit of graphics horsepower for portability. Given the terrible y560 screen I'm almost wishing I went for a y460 (until I fire up GTA4 then I just smile lol)

Constant blue screens on Y560.

Quite often while on my IdeaPad Y560 laptop i will get a blue screen (blue screen of death as some call it). This is started to get incredibly frustrating because it will always interupt whatever i am doing and if it is work related i have to save constantly. My sister has the same Laptop and the same problem. Is their anyway to fix this? Anyone esle have the samwe problem?

if you have dump file, please, upload one of them ( c:/windows/minidump )

meanwhile, do not forget to update graphic drivers and bios.

I did the bios update and i thought i worked for awhile but i am still getting blue screens. How do i upload the minidump?

I try to upload it on rapid share but it says i dont have permission to open the file even when am the adminstrator on the laptop. How do i get around this or is there any other way. I also cannot zip the file for the same reason/ i dont have permisson and file is not found.
