I'm also having the same problem. Ordered a Y580 and was sent a shipping confirmation from Lenovo on 7/17. It was also a 10 digit tracking number that started with "520..." and it has still showed nothing but "invalid tracking number" on the UPS site.

Those 10 digit numbers that Lenovo gave you, which begin "520..." sound like Lenovo's order number, not a UPS tracking number. I recently ordered a Y480 (which was only delayed in shipping by a few days from their estimate--a miracle! When my wife ordered a Y450 a few years ago, it was delayed in shipping by over a month), and its order number (one that Lenovo uses) was a 10 digit number, starting "424..."

 

When it shipped, I got an e-mail from Lenovo with the subject line "Shipment notification: Lenovo order 424...," which contained a "1Z..." tracking number for UPS.

Yeah I've pretty conviced that whatever that 10 digit number they gave me was, isn't the correct tracking number. But it's also not my order number which is a completely different number. Starting to regret making this purchase, should have just pay a little extra for another laptop. I have problems with UPS and if I can't get the tracking number it can get really messy.
