Changed mouse behavior

2013-09-14, 22:55 PM

i have a Y560 Ideapad with a Lenovo A-300M Bluetooth mouse. Normally, when i click on a folder, the folder opens. When I place my curser in Google, I am allowed to write. I can navigate using my mouse.

But today, everything "sticks" to my curser.

When I click a folder, the folder sticks (like I am dragging the folder) to my curser.

If navigate to Google and place my curser in the search box, the website url 'sticks' to my curser and 'pastes' in the search box.

If i click on a blank spot on my screen, the curser creates a blue-outlined selection box that changes size when i move my curser.

I press 'escape' to unstick whatever is stuck to my curser. I have to click multiple times to close a window or to make a selection on a webpage. Mostly, I can't use my mouse because it doesn't function correctly.

I've updated flash and run windows update. I've rebooted. I put fresh batteries in my mouse. i've run a virus check. i downloaded the latest mouse driver from Lenovo (from 2010!) but I get a message that my current driver is more current than Lenovo's. I've deleted my mouse device and reinstalled it. I've changed browsers. I've run out of ideas.

help?

It seems your mouse broke down. Recently I've thrown out a mouse which exhibited similar behaviour. The problem is the switch within the mouse gets stuck.
