DVDs Don't Play Loud Enough - Vista/IdeaPad Y510

2009-01-08, 14:19 PM

I play CDs in the player, or listen to internet music.  I can get everything loud enough

to hear on second floor of my house.

But DVD movies I can barely hear.  I have to attach speakers, and still that's not loud

enough.

I tried updating drivers...no joy.

How can I get volume higher?  Everything that I can tell is at maximum setting.

Yea, I have the same issue with the Y530.  Everything else is pretty loud, but once I put in a movie, the volume doesnt get up as high.  Any solution would be appreciated.

You can install K-Lite codeck pack and tweak AC3 volume rate there.

or you can install VLC media player - it has a built-in option to increase volume up to 400%  (ctrl+arrowup)
