Difficulty purchasing Y500 GT750M ultrabay adapter,

2014-08-14, 18:44 PM

So, I contact support to get ahold of the GT750M ultrabay adapter, and I'm later sent an email with a number to call in order to find out how to order one, after being sent back and forth through several different other numbers, none apparently being the right one, you get the distict information that Lenovo has no idea what they are doing.

Which this isn't such an unusual thought when you think that they sold these laptops and said that you can later buy these things and upgrade your laptop, yet they've never sold it for more than a six month period, this is ridiculous.

GT750M Ultrabay GPUs dont work, that why Lenovo is not selling them anymore.

I would advise not to buy them since it is a waste of money. You can search this forum and you will find a huge thread about it.

They do (or should) work for Y500's, which the OP has, judging by his signature.

But yes, I do find it ridiculous that it takes ages for these ultrabays to come out on the website available for purchase, but disappear within hours. It's equally as difficult to find one on a 3rd party site too. What a joke, Lenovo.
