Ideapad Y510p No Display

2015-08-10, 9:29 AM

Hey Guys, I have literally tried every possible troubleshooting ideas for this with no luck but here's the thing..On its own the laptop doesnt show any display but when i connect my LG LED tv to it via hdmi its all good. Now here's the new thing, when i restarted the laptop while the hdmi still connected it booted perfectly fine on my laptop screen and i took out the hdmi after and everything seems normal now. Though now when i shut down the laptop and try to start it again it doesnt show display. Am i right in thinking that there is absolutely no prolems with my display and its all software or BIOS related? coz this all started when i tried clean boot  due to some network issues.

What are my options guys..I tried flashing the bios to version 3.08 but it still didnt work. Im currently typing this from the same laptop which is as for now working flawlessly. Do you guys think i shud back up everything and try reinstalling windows throught the recovery option in windows 8.1? Any kind of suggestions will be much appreciated, Thanks
