hi Question,

The recovery files which has a file extension of .okr / ,wsi image are stored on the hidden partition of the HDD. You can create a recovery disc using this method to view the files or you can access the hidden partition by unsetting the partition identifier using the diskpart command.

Note:

Don't delete or move anything on the hidden partition as it contains sensitive data.

Hope this helps

Thanks, i'm looking at the ifles on the partition now. But i dont understand how to reinstall windows using any of the files? I don't see a windows installer anywhere on it. I see installers for stuff like bluetooth, card reader, camera, etc....

Also, how do i reinstall office 2010? I had to uninstall it because it bugged out for me.

Lenovo y460p recovery files

2013-05-15, 2:06 AM

I have been waiting for several days to get an answer to this question :

Nobody from support is replying but a mod keeps deleting my bumps to prevent support from viewing the thread. What is going on?

I think Neokenchi have responded and provided you the answer and provided the link to the procedure on how you can get a copy by creating the recovery disks.

Click the underlined phrase to see the procedure on how to make the recovery disc. Once you have the recovery disc, Use the OKR and select "System Recovery" your system should be restored to factory default. This mean that windows is installed back to factory default. You will have to reinstall office 2010 by clicking the icon.

Take note that if you have personal files, be sure to make a backup of them before performing system recovery because your hdd will be erase.
