Lenovo IdeaPad Z710 sound issue in windows 8.1 after using ubuntu 14.04.1

2014-09-25, 7:49 AM

I have a Lenovo Z710 with jbl branded speakers and the idt audio driver(latest) in windows.

After using ubuntu 14.04.1 with latest updates and kernel 13.3 I am not able to use the headphone jack in windows after restarting my notebook. I found a temporary solution to solve this problem, but its very annoying to do that.

I have to disconnect the power supply, take out the battery and press the start button for 30 seconds.

Then I am able to use the audiojack in windows.

I think there's something like an electrical switch that is used in ubuntu to power off the hardware, which is even not recognized in windows or something like that.

Hope you guys can help me!

Thanks for your replies :smileywink:
