Dear Friends, It's sound is a software/OS problem, usually, if hardware failure, in commonly, if hardware problem its will never happend sometime ok sometime not ok. if failure will be always permenant cannot loading or boot.

May you given us more detail what OS u are using ? or do u install specific project software ? do u have using any 3rd parties which may make your OS unstable ? or u have using software that not commond people use ?

U may try just install fresh OS windows Vista/Window 7 , then install commond software example office, and some office use software, and try run up for few week see this still happend ?

If u still facing the problem ? try Window 7 the most stable OS i use so far is very good..

If you are using Windows XP, sometime is driver effect.

Anyhow, the above is just my comment because u not given detail what specific model or software you are facing off.

Thank you.

Re: Lenovo Y300 Problem

Thank you Ckhown for your att.

My Lenovo is 3000 Y300. RAM 4 GB DDR2 (2x2 GB)

My running OS now is XP Proffesional. Before that, running on original OS from Lenovo: Vista Basic. Still I have the same problem. I've tried Vista Home Premium, Ultimate and last one Windows 7  Latest RC. I did not running special program. I using Y300 only for office job only.

Everytime this problem occurs, I have to unplug HDD then unplug it again. I'm begin unpatient with this unit.

I already take this unit twice to Lenovo Service Centre. The problem only disappear for max. 1 month. after that, it comes again.

Could it be  the problem is BIOS or Mainboard or over heat? I've tried to find BIOS Update. I can't find it.

I've tried anything I can, even replace RAM. Could you suggest me what else should I'll do.

Thank you.

Best Regard's

Dear Ckhown

Thank you for attention.

There is no error message or anything. Because it freeze at the moment when first time you turn on your Lenovo. Under the big font Lenovo there is processing bar (not windows processing bar), when left side written "Press F1 or F12 Blablablablabla". The processing bar just stuck and freeze at 10-20% from whole processing bar. I turned of then turned on again, still same problem occurs. But If I unplug HDD then plug in again, it will load 100% full. After that windows logo shows up.

Have any clue? I begun frustrating about this laptop.

Thank you for your time Ckhown.

Best regards,
