Lenovo Y40-70 - Stuck at max brightness, no internet and no sound?

2015-09-26, 22:06 PM

When I started up my Y40 today, I was faced with a myriad of issues that I'd never seen before. The wifi adapter seems to not be working because I can't search for or connect to any networks. The sound isn't working either and when I opened up the volume mixer, it said that no audio devices could be found. On top of that, the screen is set at maximum brightness. Pressing Fn+Up/Down have no effect and don't bring up the brightness meter and changing the brightness on power plans does nothing.

I've googled and restarted multiple times and disabled/enabled the sound, graphics and wifi drivers through the device manager, but the problems are still there. Are there any solutions to these issues? Any help would be much appreciated!
