Re: Lenovo Z510 Battery Issues

I would like to ask you a single question. Does Lenovo service do something with broken batteries? Thats what happened to me. Sometimes it lasts for 2,5 hours and sometimes like nothing. It;s planned obsolescence.

Re: Lenovo Z510 Battery Issues

2015-11-05, 5:13 AM

Hi,

I bought Lenovo Ideapad Z410 (model no. 20292) in June 2014. Since past few days whenever the laptop was started, a pop-up window would appear saying "Battery is too weak" with a BUY icon.

Now I am unable to start the laptop, after entering my outlook credentials, it just gets hang. What might be the actual problem?

Kindly guide me what to do.

Thanks in advance.

BR,
Fahim

Hi

Dear Lenovo

All the people here are looking forward to your solution. Our battery incdicator damaged by some hardware problems. On the other hand, you solved the problem for many other noetbooks such as Z400 and Z500 by releasing a framwork for their batteries. why don't you do it for our model.

I stongly look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Re: Lenovo Z510 Battery Issues

2015-11-10, 9:29 AM

Hi,

I bought the Laptop in December 2013 and it was all fine till couple of days back - when it switched off without warning.

Battery showed 0% even when plugged to AC power.   GIving benefit of doubt, I set it to recharge with laptop shut down. It recharged to 100% in 30 minutes.

I then started working on Battery Mode - to check if this happend again - this time even after 1 hour it continued to show 100% - except that the number of hours remaining was reducing.

I then shut down and re-started - this time it showed 80% power remaining.   After 1 hour, the system shut down abruptly again without warning - but this time it was on battery mode - but this gave no warning even though power option was selected as High Performance Mode.

I then plug into AC power - and I noticed that there is still 40% of Power Left

Can you explain what's happening ??

Thanks,

Mahesh Murthi

Hello,

Same problem since I went to Windows 10! And impossible to find a new battery on the Lenovo store! It is unacceptable!
Maybe Lenovo would move faster if wee all share our bad xperience on the social network!

I so agree with you. we need a campain for solving this proble. it has been for a long time the many people have this problem in their batteries but Lenovo has not answered yet. they are silent but they solved the same problem of z400 and z500 with a framwork before.
shame on Lenovo

The solution is simple just uninstall the Energy Management software of Lenovo, dont install it again after uninstalling for about 1 month, the indcator of battery will then show the proper percentage of your battery. I uninstalled it and used for about 1 month and now my indicator shows the right percentage. The Energy Management software is causing the problem.
