Lenovo Z570 OEM_Partition Restoration

2013-04-26, 11:15 AM

I have been trying to restore my system to factory for along time now. I have checked the lenovo community forum, contacted technical support specialist and even local lenovo service center. From all sources I have concluded that I cannot restore the system since I have not created the system recovery discs.

But if I get the information about what where the partitions in factory default system, their volume size and file format I may able to recovey the system to its factory default by manually making the partitions....!!!!:smileyhappy:

I request anyone in the lenovo community who has the lenovo Ideapad Z570 Corei7, 64 Bit Laptop to please share their Harddisk Partition Information Details or share their recovery disc by 4shared or googledrive...

It will be also helpful if, lenovo technical team find a better solution to this problem. Please provide the factory default partition details in Image snapshot or as written details.

Hi,

I got corrected my long pending problem of partition restoration. I contacted local service center and told about the problem of OKR. They told at first that it is very difficult but after sometime they told that it requires a recovery disc from another but similar system and they could try. They charged 750 Rs for restoring to factory settings. Now I have factory settings back...cheers..!!

So if have similar systems contact your authorised local service center and get it corrected by the recovery media discs they have. Depends on the type of service center you contact, so choose the best service provider.

I've done this on my y570 in february, tried to instal Win8, messed up my partitions and was like "well this is a bummer".
It did took me about 24 hours of non stop work and 16 reinstalations of Win7 but i did it finaly. Somewhere in the dark corners of the internet there is a .pdf file that has what you need. It's a sort of a manual with pictures, but from those pics i got the info i needed to get my SSD+HDD combo working how they should.
I'll post it if i come across it, best of luck.

Why you need Rapid Drive.....How did you got the exact drive size and file format in the partitions....does that enabled your OKR software..?

Re: Lenovo Z570 OEM_Partition Restoration

I've got an SSD+HDD hybrid, and it's kinda pointless without the rapiddrive technology since the ssd only has 32gb.

In the file i mentioned, there was a picture with all the partitions, logical, physical, everything. Basicaly, it's not only about the size nor file format, there is one more thing that has to be taken into consideration. You'll have to pay atteniton to the possition of each partition. Thats why you need that picture.
Even if you don't have the hdd ssd hybrid, i think that will be a factor.
I'm sorry i'm not more helpful, my right index finger is broken so using my laptop and typing is kinda challenging.

It didn't enable the OKR SW since i already messed up the partition size. Once you reformat them, the OKR is gone and you're on your own

By the way, my y570 already had an OKR image when i bought it, didn't had to make one myself. Used it two times couple of months before win8 messed up my partitions
