Lenovo Z580 battery & charging

2015-04-13, 6:50 AM

I am looking to save a bit by not charging my battery cuz I am using my laptop constantly plugged.

Is there some option that would allow me to not charge the battery till it drops below 10%.

Is removing the battery the only solution?

if I remove my battery and there is suddently a blackout do I lose all what I have been working on or does the laptop save that?

Cuz many times when similar happens and the battery is in I can just turn on and continue from where I left, while without the battery I have to turn on and wait for the laptop to start again.

Also, can you tell me how much this laptop consumes electric energy per hour?(I figure around 40W,but I could be wrong)
