Need advice on UPGRADING ! My Lenovo Z50 -70 Intel i7- 4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz  2.60GHz

Hello,

I need advice !

I have a Lenovo Z50 -70 Intel i7- 4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz  2.60GHz with 8 GB of DDR3 Ram which is Dual channel (4GB + 4GB) with 11.0 clocks latency.

Graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce 840M 4GB DDR3 type, with 1032MHz core and 900 MHz Memory clocks respectively. 1 TB of HDD hard disk, which I recently swapped for a 500 GB WB SSD. Operating system is Windows 10.

I Purchased the laptop way back in 2013. Now I want to upgrade the system because I do a lot of Video Editing, producing, casual gaming and I cannot afford a new laptop at the moment.

I recently added 500 GB SSD to the laptop because my HDD was not working properly and it was taking ages for the system to boot. now the booting is fast.

I am thinking about adding 16GB (2x8GB) Ram to the laptop.

  1. Will G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C9S-8GRSL  be ideal for the upgrade ?
  2. When I ran an application called CPU Z - I was able to find that my laptop has 4 slots, in which only 2 slots are filled I have attached the photos with this post. But even after opening the back cover I could only find 2 slots. when I ran command "wmic memphysical get maxcapacity" in Command Prompt, it shows maxcapacity is 33554432. so where is the other two slots ?
  3. Should I Put 32 GB of ram ? or Is 16 GB the max in my laptop ?
  4. And my battery is also kind of dead I am using the laptop by plugging it in all the time. Maxelon™ Laptop Battery for Lenovo IdeaPad Z50-70, Z50-80, G50-70, G50-80 4 Cell 2000 mAH PN:121500171 planning to buy this battery. So should I buy a new battery too ?
  5. lastly can my laptop handle the upgrades ? will it fry the motherboard or something ?

I need advice, some proper guidance on the matter.

Thank you !
