Power Management Software for Lenovo 3000 Y410 with Windows 8.1

2013-12-25, 16:08 PM

Basically, I'm upgrading my old 3000 Y410 to the latest Windows 8.1 64 bit and I didn't know what's the compatible power management tools/software for this OS. Last time when I upgrade it to Windows 7 64 bit, I ask a friend to help me install that kind of software, but he didn't give me the installation file.

Could someone point out which power management software that I should use.

Thank you

Hi Kaminari,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I’m sorry to inform you that “Lenovo Power Management” software is not available for Lenovo 3000 Y410 as the OS (Operating System) is not compatible with the computer, but below is the link where you can download the software for Y410p and while installing right click on the downloaded file and select “Run as administrator” option to get it installed without any error.

Do post us back if the issue still persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Thank you.

I tried that software and it's working.

I find that Windows 8.1 is compatible with this machine (although some drivers need to be updated to the latest version, and only original win XP driver was compatible. The vista version driver was not compatible with win 8.1 though)
