Re: Lenovo Z510 CPU stuck at 0.77GHz

I bought mine for € 660 (i5-4200m, gt740x, 20% off) so if I ditch it, it will probably be for € 600.

They go here for €800 at the moment.

Re: Lenovo Z510 CPU stuck at 0.77GHz

I have the same problem, the cpu stuck at 0,77Ghz (Pentium 3550m). But i have a bigger annoying problem:

When I am playing, the fan turns on and goes on high RPM, it's ok, but after I close the game, the fan stucks that RPM, and its very loud. The cpu is 38-45°, but the fan goes maximum RPM still I shut down or restart the laptop.

I love my z510, but these 2 issues are very annoying. Lenovo Engineers please do your job, and make a bios update that fix the problems.

Anyway Asus already shipped a new BIOS for G750JW and it solved the "processor stuck at 0.77GHz" problem.

Link

"solved w/new bios"

So it could be really fixed in BIOS.

same problem stuck at 0.77
Sorry to be off topic
just bought the FHD model but I noticed that when I move the laptop I see ripples at the top and on the sides of the screen(it's very noticeable on dull colors) the ripples are seen just when I move the screen.

I can easily bend and flex the screen with little to no effort, and it even flexed when opening and closing the lid or moving laptop.
Is It Normal?
The seller told me that this is common to all model becaufe the screen is slim

The thing about my screen is when I tilting it or shake it, there is the same kind of ripple
Please test and reply

my friends,

all you need to do is to give that hybrid shutdown thing a rest or uncheck the fast startup option in power settings and you would see this issue resolved...

only thing it would start slower similar to that of windows 7...

This is just an alerternative till we get a bios update. We can re-enable fast startup once we get the same
