Repartitioning hard disk break the warranty

Hello,

 

I need to ensure is repartitioning hard disk break the warranty, delete all the partitions like recovary and drivers and tools ?

hi khalid_mostafa,

 

If you're looking into doing a clean install of the OS or to try a different one (e.g., Ubuntu) then repartitioning the HDD shouldn't void the hardware warranty of the system, however, you won't be able to get support (for software issues) in case something goes wrong with the OS installation (e.g., Frequent BSOD, drivers won't load, etc.).

 

I would recommend creating a recovery drive (see this method) for backup puporses so that you can restore the preloaded OS in case you will need to send the unit for warranty service (e.g, Bad sectors are found on the HDD).
