Replacement Battery for Y560D? or Power Adapter?

2014-01-16, 4:25 AM

For the last week or more, I got a warning message that my battery is 13% or 6% full and that my computer is about to shut down. This even though I am using the AC Power Adapter.

I'd unplug the adapter and plug it back in, and the low battery messsage always went away and my laptop worked fine.

Then tonight, my computer went dead.

I *think* I need a new battery? The Lenovo store doesn't list a new battery for sale-- only the 120w AC Adapter.

I (almost) always use the Power Adapter rather than the battery.

So what do I do? Look on eBay for a replacement battery? Buy a new 120w AC Adapter? How do I know which part is malfunctioning?

Please help. Thank you.
