Should i drop the idea of getting Y560

Hi all,

 

I am looking for a laptop for gaming,hd movies and, came to conclusion that Y560 is the best .I dropped the idea because of screen problem.Is there any similar laptop from lenovo.

everyone posting here has a problem with their purchase, your gonna get alot of no's. It's a great laptop, but you just gotta hope you get one with a good screen, or wait for this bios fix which is due in less then a month. I would say grab it if you really want it. More laptops are working then those that are broken.

As far as I know, there is no way to differenciate the bad screen.

The only way is to start it and look kind of white area.

I'd avoid it.  Although the screen issue is (mostly) fixed by the new BIOS, the run around and constantly changing answers I've been getting from the repair depot is driving me nuts.  If you ever need to send yours in for repair for any reason, expect a month+ long wait before you see it again (even if you purchased the in-home warranty like I did).

 

Besides, by reading the other threads on this board, it sounds like the service in India is even worse than here...
