Two problems (Y410a)

2009-05-05, 22:07 PM

For quite some time the integrated camera on Y410A has stopped working. I reinstalled drivers with no success, then I reinstalled windows with also no success and I gave up. Do you think it is hardware malfunction?

Another problem. Yesterday I installed Windows Vista Home Premium x64 bits (I had 32 bits before), I thought the laptop wouldn't support, but it did. Now my problem is that some of the drivers offered by Lenovo website only works for vista x86 (32 bits). How to overcome that?

Thanks!

I have the answer for your 2nd problem..

Use your Y410 Driver CD that came with your laptop for the 64bit versions of your drivers. Then for the other hardware that dont have a driver, I used Y430 drivers for the energy cut and trackpad. For the wireless and display go to Intel downloads.

Hope this helps..
