Y430 -Dead Pixels

2008-12-25, 0:48 AM

Hi, in the past month my screen has begun to have pixels die. It started with one dead pixel and now about atleast 5-6 are dead. They are most easy to see on a white screen. I bought this computer just a few months ago.

I am hoping someone here can get me on the right track to getting this taken care of.

Thanks,

Chris

I think the lenovo policy is that if there are more then 5 dead pixels then you qualify for a screen replacement, but I'm not positive what it actually is....

I also bought mine from Circuit City in Roseville CA.

I am really hoping somebody from Lenovo will help me sort out this matter.

People from lenovo hardly look at this website, I'd recommend either calling customer service or talking to an agent online at lenovo.com

Welcome to the forum!

There are a few Lenovo employees roaming around in here helping out on a volunteer basis, but this is not an official support channel. Instead, this is designed to be a user-to-user support and discussion forum. You may or may not get an answer directly from one of the Lenovo employees as there are way more of us than them and all of them, even Mark, have full-time jobs doing other things.

All you need is your dated sales receipt from your purchase to get your warranty date sorted out.  Call the support line.
