Y460 Partition table

2010-10-06, 2:16 AM

While using DiskGenius to recover one of my old external hdd (rebuild partition table), accidentally messed up my Y460 internal Hdd (500GB) partition table. Is there any backup copy of partition table that i can get from here? So, I can load it using DiskGenius to recover it.

Onekey recovery no longer work as the partition table is incorrect now.

Or is there any better way recovering it?

Need help urgently. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the link.

However, what I am looking for is the sizes of each of the partition that come with Y460 by default. More specifically, the parameters that I should enter for each partition if I follow your first link.

Or, if i use the second link, do you have a copy of the default Y460 partition table backup file (.ptf format). So I can restore from it.

Thanks for the help.

What do I do with this piece of information?

Thatt's the (HEX) partition ID for the service partition.  If it's just the ID that's messed up, setting it to 12 might fix it.  If the sizes are wrong, you'll need that other info you asked for.

If someone with the same drive would hex dump the MBR, you'd have all the info there is.  Sorry I don't have such a machine.
