While I appreciate your feedback Mark, the problem is that you don't seem to get it. Why would you do this to your customers and why would we have to wait so long for a clear response?

What I posted above is an example of how ridiculous this is to me. So either Lenovo is deliberately choosing to leave us in the dark or someone isn't doing their job.

But in all fairness, I will stop holding you to such a high standard. The y40 I ordered was 'supposed' to have a backlit keyboard, something that your online representatives promised me but when I got it there was NO backlit keyboard. If they couldn't get that simple question right, then how should I expect you to get this right.

And just to be clear I have owned the y40, the y50 touch FHD and the y50 UHD. You guys couldn't get it right on anyone of those - they each had a glaring problem.

Its probably time for me to move on.

Today I'm returning my 2 days old Y50 - 59421859 - UHD.
I'm on the phone with the post-sales representative getting the Return Merchandise Authorization and she clains she doesn't know about this issue.

This issue will never be resolved because that would require them to replace all the screens with a more expensive one.

Today I'm returning my 2 days old Y50 - 59421859 - UHD. I was offfered a replacement laptop which it's going to be the same model. The post-sales lady said it's going to be built today.

My question to you, Was this issue resolved? or am I going to get anther laptop with the same yellow-brown-mustard color?

I understand but we already paid a $200 premium for this Ultra HD Display.. 

I'll let you know in few days how good or bad the new display looks like.

If this issue is not resolved to our satisfaction, we need to blast Lenovo on all possible forums we could find.

I'm not giving up of having this problem fixed - although I'd be more than happy to hear from Lenovo what alternatives screen I could have. Even in the other forums there are questions about if it's a eDp or LVDS (40 pins) at UHD version.  

Mark, the fact you follow this thread, doesn't it suggest that Lenovo knows this problem? Are you keeping it to yourself or did you take this to other departments?  and yes, I (we) need a answer on this question.

Mark is the Program Manager of Lenovo Social Media (Services).

His job is to make problems go away with words. Only when that's not possible will he bump the issue up to tech support.

Ideally they should be issuing recalls and offering free replacement screens and services, but since "wrong color" isn't a health hazard like faulty chargers and batteries which can catch fire, I doubt they will.
