Y510p Dual External Monitors?

2013-09-10, 1:54 AM

Does anyone have the Y510p -- without the dual graphics -- displaying on two external monitors at the same time (i.e. one on the HDMI and one on the VGA output)?

I now have the y510p and can confirm that it drives 2 external monitors, one on the hdmi and one on the vga output, so that, including the notebook display, one can enjoy a 3 monitor set-up.

Re: Y510p Dual External Monitors?

I would like to use the Y510p in a 3-monitor system (laptop monitor + 2 external monitors).

Is this possible using the HDMI and VGA outputs on the single GT750M graphics model to drive 2 external monitors (i.e. NOT the dual graphics model)?

Bruce - how did you get your HDMI and VGA output to work at the same time. I go into the Nvidia software and it says error when connecting through my setup.

Does Y510p work with 3 external monitors?

(I'd like the laptop lid to be closed).   The external monitors should be in 'extend this monitor' status, not "duplicate".

I plan to use 3 ports: the HDMI, the VGA, and the USB3.0 [for which I will buy the [Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI 4K UHD (Ultra-High-Definition) Video Graphics Adapter for Multiple Monitors].

Would this work?  Thank you!
