Y530 WiFi Problems

2009-12-04, 3:50 AM

After a year of using Y530 as my main PC station and after fighting with the drivers that Lenovo provide..... don't say a word about them........ I decide to download the original Intel files for my WiFi Link 5100 and than I guess what happen.....

From constantly dropping and Max speed to N network no more than 63 Mbps now I how full 130 Mbps and some minor lost for coupple seconds because it is set to Higher Roaming Agressivnes now I actually have more than a decent WiFi connection....

So my question is......... why just don't send people to download the latest Intel drivers but instead keep repeating that the WiFi will work only with YOUR drivers???

Thank for the great support..... And every time I call Lenovo they still asking me to extend my warranty... no thanks.... Probably after the first major problem I will stop using my laptop for main machine and I will switch back to Desktop.

P.S.:
