Download CrystalCPUID utility here.

Run it as administrator, go to "Function" menu and choose "MSR Editor". in edit control "MSR Number" type the value 0x0000003a. Then press "RDMSR" button. Remember the values in columns "EDX (63-32)" and "EAX (31-0)". Close MSR Editor window. In the dropdown list (right top corner of main window) choose CPU2 and do all the same as described above. And finally post here the values in columns "EDX (63-32)" and "EAX (31-0)" for both CPU cores.

Wow, it's wonderful !

Lenovo have not locked virtualization technology on Y530. Set in MSR Editor the following values: EDX = 0x00000000, EAX = 0x00000005 and press "WRMSR" button. Do it for both CPU cores and you'll get fully enabled Intel VT. But you must make that procedure at every system boot. If you don't want to do it every day then send me your BIOS and I will patch it for constantly enabled virtualization. Or you can use sleep or hibernate modes instead of simple shutdown to preserve values of MSR-register 3A from clearing.

Works like a charm, thank you so much middleton. It`s just like you said after shutdown and power on setting came back to defaults and I have to do this procedure again. How can it be done to make this changes persistent? How can I burn this setting into bios?

It seems that code which performs VT initialization is absent in Y530 AMI EFI BIOS. I have already seen that in MSI GX600 BIOS. I can add VT initialization code but there is not any Y530 BIOS available for downloading on Lenovo web site. So you've got to dump BIOS on your laptop and then send it to me by email. Download this from AMI web site. Find \aptio\afuwin\32\afuwin32.zip file in archive, unpack it in a separate folder and run afuwingui.exe as administrator. On the main window you'll see "Save" button. Press it to dump your current BIOS. If you successfully finish all described above procedures then send BIOS file to me (middleton@list.ru).

I`m using Win7 64bit, and that software throws an error, both 32bit and 64 bit version: Error: Firmware does not have flash (AFUWINGUI) support.

Try this one from downloaded amiflash.zip archive: \amibios\afuwin\64\AFUWINx64.exe.

If it doesn't work try 32-bit version.

Sorry but P7350 doesn't support virtualization technology. See here.

OK. There is another decision for your problem with Intel VT. Can you wait a little? As soon as all will be ready, I will inform you.
