Why, why would you try to save power while playing games. People who build gaming desktop PC's spend big money on power supply units because getting as much power to your GPU / CPU is what's needed to play high graphic games, you should alway set your setting to high performance (for everything) if you intended playing, Power saving options are for when you use battery, to prolong battery life life while unplugged.

I switched back from ES to HP because if you look in previous posts, some people say that they prefer ES and have improved gaming experience.  I switched back to HP and feel a slight improvement, but not too much.
and i've unticked the two from the lenovo power management

How much ram do you have? Because when I had my last laptop which only came with 4 GB of ram, I alt+tab while a game was running and  I checked on the  computer usage gadget it was showing 85% of ram, which really isn't ideal. I did this because I noticed that on start up my ram usage was at 52% without doing anything, I then bought 2 GB extra which

Nowadays laptops are sold with so much boatware and with all the programs the owner might install 4 or 6 GB depend what you have running in the background mightn't be enough ram when you start gaming And I must add that I turn off many programs in system configuration, the programs I might use now and again, there's no need to have the programs in ram if you very rarely use them.

I have 8GB of DDR3

Don't know how to check my RAM usage though.

GPU Observer & Pix  These are useful tool to monitor what's happening with your machine.

P.S. you can also see how much ram is being used in the windows task manager, right click of the task bar and select Start  task manager it will be on the bottom "physical memory --28% well mine is at the moment"

Has there been an official fix for this problem yet. I recently found out that I have the same problem since Starcraft 2 has been running much slower than it should. As of now the only solution that I've got is to use throttlestop.

ALERT!

I dunno if you guys know but there's been a new beta driver out from nvidia 295.73

Link's here.

Announced on Facebook, extra information over here.

http://www.geforce.com/News/articles/nvidia-geforce-295-73-whql-drivers-released?sf3252222=1

This sweet update on your driver improves specific games.  Skyrim, Mass Effect 3 (which is a free demo out if you guys don't know), Diablo 3, MW3, and some other titles that you can see.  I've installed it right away

and Skyrim is smooth as silk.  I set it at High Settings, and so far loving the update.  Guys download this if you want to play Skyrim at a sexy 40 fps or higher at high setting (mine's a y570).  Mass Effect 3 is also improved.  If you guys don't know, there's a demo out for it on Origin, which is basically the "steam" for EA.  It's free with multiplayer and a 30 minute singleplayer demo.  Seriously, this is a killer update.

ALTHOUGH it is sweet, I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Revelations right now, and it's somewhat slower than Brotherhood gameplay.  I mean it's really a graphics update to previous titles, and I hope I can solve this.  Anyways, download this asap.

Eso
