Y580 OneKey Glitch

2012-07-24, 18:12 PM

Hello,

I recently purchased the y580, it came with no problems. Unfortunately, i seem to have created one by deleting things i shouldn't have. Every time a screen overlay/shader comes on (like when the screen darkens to ask for administrator's permission), the lcd color filter switches from "Movie" to "Normal." When i press the OneKey button, it still has "Movie" selected, but i must reselect "Movie" in order for it to be active.

I thought i would go into my program list and repair "Onekey Theatre," but when i do ....

So it seems as if i deleted that folder or location...or something.

Another concern: there is no "Administrator" folder, the administrator is "Chris." I also can't find appropriate AppData, Local, or DownloadedInstallations folders.

Please help me! My ocd impares me from ignoring this pesky issue. Thanks!

Well, you can try a complete uninstall of OneKey Theater and reinstall. A reinstall file might be on your computer already if your computer has a separate Lenovo drive. It would be under Drivers if it does. You can also find it at http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?.

Hello ,

Please check D drive and  you will see drivers folder and re-install OKT again.

I ran the setup from D:\drivers\OneKeyTheater; however, it produced the same "where is the .msi" message as before.

I also searched for the onekey theater driver from that driver list. It seems as if the only driver associated with onekey is the "Onekey Recovery Software."

I tried the 64 bit hotfix under General Information driver, still nothin.

Hmm, could you possibly use System Restore to restore your computer back to a point before you deleted the file that you think may be causing this problem?
