Z510 ideapad not taking power

2015-05-09, 8:38 AM
Hi, I bought z510 ideapad laptop in august 2014. Yesterday as i was working i saved my files and got over for a coffee. when i was back laptop was off and i thought the battery must have gone so tried to plug in the charger but to my surprise it didnt work. it is not even showing the led light at the front after plugin and of course not charging. i checked the adapter with other laptop and it was fine and working.
do anyone had the same problem or some remedy to fix it.
please help. i am doing my masters thesis now a days and this is wasting a lot of time for me as i am not even able to contact the service centers over here in milan italy.

Here's a solution you could try. It's a ctually a rather frequent issue.

Open up your laptop, or take it a service centre. Unplug the battery, wait about a minute and plug it in again. SHould boot up.

I've had this issue myself, and I was pretty scared to actually do this, but it worked for me.

Sadly, yes. You'll have to go through one of the warranty stickers to open it up enough to access the battery. If you're uncomfortable doing so, see if a service centre will take care of it for you and replace the warranty sticker.
