Z575 compatible SSD

To the best of my knowledge all sata's are backward compatible, therefore if the MOBO in your Z575 is only sata 11 you can still connected it up, but they might be a very slight bottleneck.

y know that but y want to know if is fully compatible because y allready have a hybrid seagate xt sata II 300, and y want to upgrade to a ssd sata III-6gb/s samsung 830series.from what y saw on other sites-it says that sabine platform a60fch  hudson am2 supports 6x6gb/s...please advise,thank you

I upgraded my z575 to a 128 gb Agility 3. The z575 is only 3gb/s SATA, so you will not take full advantage of modern SSD 6gb/s speed, but the upgrade to an SSD still will dramatically improve the laptop's speed. Any 2.5" sata drive should work, I'm not aware of any that wouldn't.

It is not obvious how that table relates to the z575 or any lenovo.  The implication, however, is that the 575 is a "sabine platform", thus supporting the full 6gb/s Sata 3 spec.  Is this the case?  And where did this table come from - didn't see it in the links.
