Z580 Downgrade OS to windows 7

Hi,

 

Is it possible to downgrade to Windows 7 please???

 

I cannot handle Windows 8 any more.

Examination of the drivers in the download site for your unit it is possible to downgrade to Windows 7.

Thank you for the info but when I have tried before, the Win 7 OS gave me an error saying that the hard drive's file system was incorrect and there was no way for me continue.

I'm just trying to speculate due to lack of info. Your hdd is a gpt partition style disk just like most of the Lenovo units. Because of this your Windows OS to be installed must be a 64-bit Windows 7 version. So check it out if this is your situation. Before proceeding with the downgrade be sure you know what you are doing and have the necessary drivers and programs. Expect also some difficulty (it will not be a smooth transition process).

I unfortunately have not tried it out yet due to needing to work on my machine.
