Z580 safe mode

2013-01-26, 0:04 AM

How do I boot a Win 8 Ideapad Z580 to Safe Mode, please? I have tried F8 and shift+F8, as well as running msconfig.exe to set the boot tab to minimal safe mode, with no success. Presumably, UEFI is inhibiting these from working as they would have in a previous OS.

Hi

Welcome to the community.

To access Safe Mode within Windows itself, press the Windows key + R to open the dialog box and type msconfigthen select Boot and choose the Safe Boot option.

Alternativley, press and hold the Shift key and  F8 while booting up, this will then allow users to get into the Recovery Mode of your Window 8 System.

Go to Advanced Options >> Troubleshoot >> Advanced Options.

Select  Windows Startup Settings >> Restart to reboot systems, this option to get boot into Safe Mode.

Regards,

Sameer
