Z70-80 heat question

2018-03-23, 0:02 AM

Hi! I bought the Z70 for my husband last yr, and have never had a problem, till I started borrowing it to play Fortnite. No other sw we use causes the upper left of the case to get so warm! How warm is too warm? Shall I stop playing? : ) I saw another post where something said 70 C (?!) I'm pretty sure it isn't that hot. I can rest my hand on it.

Thanks for any advice!

Download and run HWMonitor by CPUID which will tell you the internal temps of components. But these systems will ramp up a lot in temps playing games. If you've not blown out dust there will be an accumulation internally which makes it hotter than it would otherwise.
