can i change my gpu to a higher version ?

Hi 

recently my dGPU (gtx 960m 4g ) died and i'm forced to use iGPU for now but i got this laptop for gaming so first of all , can i replace this dead dPGU ? if yes , can i replace it with a higher version of GPUs like 1050 or 1060 ?

 

The laptop is lenovo y50-70

CPU : Intel core I7 4720HQ

You may check this thread here for a quite similar subject. Apparently there is a need to replace the systemboard if the GPU is faulty.
