enable sli on y510p

2013-08-10, 18:40 PM

How do i turn SLI mode on my dual graphics GT750M on the Y510p laptop. GPU-Z says SLI is disabled. Can't seem to find a place to turn it on Nvidia control panel either.

Device Manager does show 2 GT750m working right.

Hi,

Which driver's are you using ?   I was going to post a problem I'm having which is similar.   If I use any

drivers other than the original drivers (shipped with pc), my second graphics card shows a hardware

problem and is disabled in hardware manager. (including a microsoft driver update).  As a result, no sli

options show up in the nvidia control panel.  Any thoughts?

so i did update drivers from nvidia. Had the same issue as you second card shows up with error code 43. Driver issues is what i got when I was looking for it.

Apart from that I updated the OS to win 8.1 preview. Don't do that. Nvidia does not have the SLI drivers for it. So I had to revert everything back to a system restore. nVidia driver version 311.41 is the version that works right now with SLI.

See if you can revert to 311.41. That is the version that works for me. And I am planning to keep it that way and not update it.

That explans it.  I only had the unit a month or so, and was looking hard at windows 7, so I updated to windows

8.1.  As it turns out, 311.41 are the drivers I'm using that work.  Thanks, I forgot about 8.1 being installed.

There are 326.41 drivers for 8.1 on Nvida's website, but those break the sli.

follow this thread. Seems like someone was able to install nvidia driver 320.49 that works on 8.1

go to:
Nvidia Control Panel > Set SLI and PhysX Configuration > SLI Configuration

set this to maximum performance mode.

Hit apply.

The option to set sli does not show up when you update the video cards to the wrong driver. That is the problem that is being addressed in this thread.

Y510p SLI problem

2013-10-20, 13:22 PM

Hello there, I'm here with 8.1 SLI problem with my Y510p laptop. But my main problem is that I never had any SLI option in my nvidia drivers. Even before upgrade to windows 8.1 there were 2 750M cards in GeForce experience window but no SLI option in Nvidia control panel. I know i have to wait for W8.1 fix but whats wrong with my SLI options ? Thanks for help ;)
