You just have to try it to find out if your plan work or not. I believe you have taken every precaution included in your plan in case it does not.

Hello stefanv,

your wish is not supported by lenovo. You could buy the recovery media.

You could try two alternatives by yourself.

First, make a clean install from a win-image and install okr-soft from these board.

Second, hacking in the config-files with linux. Here you are able to make dd-dumbs from every parition, change parition id and so on.

Here is the way I did it (for dualboot):

Nice hacking and greetings to netherlands, ohhh i need holidays...

That's a very strange one key recovery program you have there. Since all your drives are cleaned why do you still have that diagnostic program?

one key recover feature

2014-05-02, 13:03 PM

This feature of one button recovery is STUPID, my U530 has a SSD and HD and if there is a problem with the SSD why not fix that only and leave all my data and programs alone, that is why I paid more for this unit as it was partitoned and that is a benefit if used properly but not the way Lenovo engineers think about it

Very unhappy and disappointed

Then when I called for help that was ridiculous, I figured it out on my own before they could get me to an ADVANCED person to help me

Not pleased or recommending this unit!

It may sound stupid at first I agree but I learned later that you actually have two options when that program is run: restore using user's backup file and restore to initial backup. I think the restore using user's backup files is the one that you have to use for your case. It will restore everything up to a date when the backup was made.

Re: new disk partioning and one key recover feature

Hi all!

I'm new ear, but i'm having the same problem of almost in this forum.

I've a brand new U330p, but when i baught it the C: partition had 424GB and the D: 24,9GB. So i've split the C: partition in two, and create a third partition.

And for what i read ear, this action made impossible to access onekey recovery files.

So i want to now, if i join again this  two partitions the onekey recovery will work?

If i unistall the onekey and reinstall can i create a recovery partition, or select the one already on my disk?

Regards

Answer: Why not implement it and see it if works or not. Then report if the merging is successful or not.

If i unistall the onekey and reinstall can i create a recovery partition, or select the one already on my disk?

Answer: Uninstalling/installing the program will not create the recovery partition.

Hi,

When I press the novo button on my 460p, it goes to the normal windows mode instead of the recovery mode. And I can't go to the normal windows because there is some problem with my windows files. The onekey program doesn't work in safe mode either. Can anyone help me with this problem?
