y430: No readyboost support!!

2008-10-19, 10:25 AM

Well, so far my experience with the y430 i got from CC in the states is a bad one... hp looking good to come back to or maybe one of the new sonys... too many compliants, thank god this piece of trash is still under warranty with the store.

I have been using many different sd cards under vista 32... using the newest drivers for the sd card reader thingy... and no readyboost option... tried many cards, tried many different formats, rollback driver, update driver, etc...O2 Micro looks it dont do it. Oh yea the service is enabled.

The list:

No APCI 64 bit driver support

Problems with LAN (driver issue) (not wifi) (slow, very slow)

No Readyboost for the sd card (works fine with usb and other external devices, who cares).

Horrible support and horrible website for yer model.

Energy Management Software is crap as well, it likes to flip flop modes automaticlly even if you dont change it!

I am sure i will add more complaints... but maybe not because so far my experience with lenovo is bad.
