No matter what Yigit says, the problem is in the Intel  Graphics Driver. I bet you have the latest driver from Intel loaded on your system, and not the Lenovo "approved" driver that came with your system.

See this thread:

http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-B-V-and-Z-series/Lenovo-Y470-Brightness-Toggle-Problem/m-p/562495#M44622

I don't know if the Lenovo approved 8.15.10.2462 Intel Graphics driver solved this problem. I haven't been able to intall this one. I have the 8.15.10.2559 driver on my machine, that I downloaded from the Intel site, and the problem with the on screen display still persists.

have you tried to re-install power management?
( power management installs the driver that function keys need )

if you installed it without removing the current one, try to remove the current power management drivers, restart your computer and re-install it.

Hi, I also have the same problem. I have Y570 and the screen brightness indicator bar is just empty (not moving) when I pressed the Fn+arrow combination. But the volume bar is working normally. I already installed the updated driver for audio and video from lenovo site, but the problem is still here. Help please... it's kinda annoy me in some way
